'Quantum invisibility cloak' footage amazes millions on Chinese internet

Millions of people have been amazed by a ‘quantum invisibility cloak’ after footage of a man using one went viral. Within days, over 21.4 million people had seen the video which shows the man disappearing behind a cloak he is holding.

However, with popularity comes scrutiny and it did not take long for the video to be exposed as a hoax. Chinese web users are enthused over a new product that claimed to be a China-made ‘quantum of invisibility cloak’. Chen Shiqu, deputy head of Criminal Investigation Department at Ministry of Public Security, shared the video claiming the cloak could be useful to the military.

MailOnline reported Zhensong revealed the video had been edited and filmed with a blue or green plastic cloth. He said: ‘Softwares such as Adobe’s After Effects, Nuke or Blackmagic Fusion can edit the background and blend the object into it. The effect has previously seen in a lot of action movies.’

کوانٹم ٹیکنالوجی (برقیات کی ٹیکنالوجی) کو استعمال کرتے ہوئے تیار کی گئی اس جادوئی چادر کو نظر نہ آنے والے مٹیریل سے تیار کیا ہے جس کے استعمال سے فوجی نائٹ وژن سے بھی بچ سکیں گے اور دشمن کی نظروں سے اوجھل رہیں گے۔

بڑھتی ہوئی مقبولیت کے باعث جب اس ویڈیو کی جانچ پڑتال کی گئی تو معلوم ہوا کہ یہ ویڈیو صرف ایڈیٹنگ کا کمال ہے۔ کوانٹم ویڈیو پروڈکشن کمپنی کے پروڈیوسر زوزین سانگ نے جادوئی چادر کے حوالے سے وائرل ویڈیو کی نفی کرتے ہوئے بتایا ہے کہ نظرنہ آنے والی ایسی کسی شے کے حوالے سے ویڈیو ایڈیٹنگ کا کمال ہے۔ انکا کہنا ہے کہ ویڈیو کو ایڈوب آفٹر افیکٹ اور بلیک میجک فیوژن سے بنائی گئی ہے۔
